I plugged my phone into desktop manager and it did an OS update to 4.5.0.138...and now my phone lags REALLY bad. How do I downgrade? I want the old version back if I can't fix the lagging...

Did you try doing a battery pull? That will usually help speed things up.

I did the exact same thing after trying 4.5.0.138 so the process is still kind of fresh in my memory.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > and your "BlackBerry Device Software v4.5.0 for the ..." should be listed in the order which they were installed (I think). choose the earlier one and click uninstall. the next time you run Desktop Manager, it might automatically prompt you to downgrade. If it doesn't, go to Application Loader and on the top right portion of the screen there is a downgrade button.

Just curious, what version was not laggy for you?

When I go to application loader, I don't see anything about downgrading.. I see add/remove applications one the left side and right side it says update applications. am I missing something?

I always try to maintain my pearl and use crack mem to remove things like carrier's themes etc google that too.

Okay, I found the downgrade, i had to update my desktop manager. is it better to wipe it clean though? Is the update lagging for everybody or just me?

i always do a clean wipe, entirely up to you ... make sure you remove your sd card prior to upgrade/downgrade, i am running 8110 not like yours

I think in Desktop Manager, after clicking on Add/Remove Applications there was a menu on the right side with the button to downgrade.
