Hi, I purchased a Blackberry 8100 phone from the US and got it unlocked and started using it in India.

However, when I make calls the phone adds +1 to all numbers and SMS texts messages.

Is there something that needs to be changed on the device itself. Please let me know!

Click the phone (green) button
Hit the menu key and go into Options, then select Smart Dialing
Change the Country Code from +1 to your local country code and it should work fine now.
