Everytime I try to use my video camera, it says "failed to start recording"

I pulled the battery to reset it, but it still didnt work. It worked fine before. I would rather not backup/wipe/restore because I NEED the information stored in my phone, and I have heard horror stories of people losing phone numbers.

If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it, I need to shoot a little video with it, and I cant because it isnt working.
