Default I have a slight problem

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my bb today and I tried to do the install for 4.5 and halfway through the last step it experienced some problem and shut down. My bb was stuck on the sandglass screen for about 15 mins where it restarted finally at 4.5. The problem now is it is moving incredibly slow and I was wondering if there was a way to safely reformat my bb and see if that fixes the problem. I'm new to bb so I would appreciate any help you could give me.
