I have a BB pearl 8100. A recently attended warped tour (Yay) and my phone got a bit damp and it started doing things on it's own. For example I would hover over messages, it would open my inbx, open the message that was highlighted, reply with nothing, and finally send it- all on it's own. I took out the battery for about 5 minutes and everything was back to normal. But now my trackball doesn't select when I click it and it doesn't scroll to the right.

After carefully cleaning out and testing, I'm already buying a new trackball. I heard the selecting has to do with hardware malfunction, is there any way I can find a replacement hardware system?

Oh and how do I replace the housing lens on the phone too?

If you're smart, you'll let the device dry out completely for 3-5 days, with no battery.

Much easier to just buy one... I've tried to clean a couple and they never go back together right. For about 10 bucks, you can get a new one. And, while you're at it, buy a spare and always keep one on hand so that the next time your trackball starts to foul up, you don't have to pay crazy shipping because you are desperate for it.

I did let it dry out, but for one day. The next morning I used a hair drier to finish it off, like I've seen done before.
