OK "Automatically Dim Back-light" Function in options and Screen/keyboard. can some one explain to me what dose it do. I can't see any difference with it on or off. My back light still changes brightness when it detect different light. it goes dimer or brighter. I tough this will turn it off and just let it stay at one level of brightness. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Yup, gets brighter in sun light and dimmer in the dark. That's all.

Wirelessly posted (Tmo's cheapest BB customer)

As mentioned before its supposed to get brighter when the ambient light level is high(bright), and dim your screen when the ambient levels are lower. You can test this out even when you are under bright conditions. Just cover up the LED area -- that's where the light sensor is.

Check your screen brightness settings in the same menu. Sounds like it may be on 100% or a high value if you aren't noticing any differences. For instance I have mine set at 20%. So when ambient lighting is dark my screen gets very dim.
