Unhappy Email for the Pearl 8130

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I am at a loss. We just got our Pearl last week and cannot get the email to work on it. Short version of what I have done:

Installed the new OS (4.5)
Went to BIS website and created a blackberry email and sent the service books to the phone

When I go to compose an email it tells me I have no message services configured. Am I missing a step?

Did your carrier push the service books when it was activated and did you receive an activation message?

Have you called your carrier's tech support?

Another thing to check: Options > Advanced Options > HRT (Host Routing Table) > click the menu key > register.

I have no clue to be honest but I didn't get an activation message. My husband talked to tech support and they say they sent an email but we never got it on the phone.

I went under HRT and hit register and it said the registration message was sent. I feel stupid but yanno lol

Just an update...I just got off the phone with the techs at Telus and they are at as much of a loss as I am. We are having data connectivity issues where the browser works but not the email. Anyway, a service ticket has been issued and we shall see if they can figure out what the problem is. I will post what happens. Cross your fingers because this is leaving a bad taste in my mouth for Telus and BB LOL
