There is a lot of interest by users to be able to retain SMS and other messages/info on the media card. It seems that the only resolve is to use a third party and back it up online (personal info in SMS online??) or other software to convert what we back up using Desktop Mgr.

I would like to suggest that all users interested in requesting RIM to allow us to store our messages on our phones to email them at: with the subject "Petition to save SMS texts to Media Card".
