Default Boost Mobile

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking of switching to Boost Mobile from Tmobile soon. Does anyone know if my Blackberry Pearl will work with their network? My friend just got Boost Mobile and I checked his phone and it does have a GSM card in it. Is it just a matter of getting a Boost Mobile card and putting it in my phone? Do I need to unlock my phone first? Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

I assume you wil want a blackberry data plan and unless something has changed recently, Boost doesn't offer this option.

No, it will not work. Boost runs on the iDEN network, not GSM. They're completely different technologies. You could use the 8350i or the 7520 or 7100i.

No BB data plan. Correct?

So, besides not having the BB data plan, the phone will not work at all? I guess I will look into the other phones jsconyers pointed out - it may be a good time to upgrade anyway since my phone is a year old or so.

Thanks everyone.
