So i just washed my phone for about 5 min, then hurried over there and pulled it out. I dried it off with a hair dryer for a long time, but when i put the battery in and try to turn it on the red light comes on and that's it. Did i kill it for good or is there hope?

I read somewhere than when a device is hit with water, that you can get rid of the water by letting the device sit in a bowl of rice. Using the hairdryer prob made it worse, because it exposed the device to extreme heat.

I'm not sure about any of this, but just a couple guesses.

Actually, I think a friend did that once and I should have thought of that. And when I used the hair dryer it sat like 8 inches away so it wasn't real real close... although the heat still could have messed it up...

Man, take the battery out NOW!

Now, leave it in a bag of dry rice for 4-5 days. DON'T check it, leave it. Don't put the battery in for the entire time. There's a chance to save it, just LEAVE it.

OK its Friday so am giving in to temptation...maybe we need a stickie that says water is not good for your phone?

This summer while laying by the pool I noticed this kid having a great time with his friends in the water. Until he remembered that his ifone was in his pocket. Wish I had a picture of the expression on his face when he pulled it out of his pocket.

Haff I have to give you credit for admitting up front that you washed it. Most of the peeps kind of pretend that they have no idea how their phone took a bath.
