Default BB Pearl O.S. Probs! help!!!!!!! - 10-31-2009, 04:58 PM

i recently upraded my bb O.S. to v4.5 and didnt liked it so i jus went on and re-installed the os v4.2. the prob is that after i went on and installed os4.2 whenever i plug the charger in 2 charge the phone and i press a button on it, the red light comes on and i see a battery with a red stroke on the screen and i have to pull it out before it can restart! can sum1 help me with this PLZ PLZ?????????????????????? thank u

I see that when a battery has been left to go completely dead. Normally if you get this and leave the battery in for half an hour or so, it will pick up enough charge to actually start the device up.

If you battery was fully charged prior to your upgrade, maybe your problem is elsewhere. If you can get hold of a spare battery or charger, it might be worth trying that as well.

wow, sounds like my problem...kinda. My pearl wouldn't charge, and then went completly dead. same kind of symptoms. red light flashes twice, twirling hour glass and then the battery icon with the lightening bolt, then goes black and cycles all over again. Laptop doesn't recognize it anymore, have tried several different chargers and even took it to a verizon office...they wanted to just sell me a new one...if you get a fix or a good suggestion, please forward on to me...I was thinking of reinstalling the os and downloaded some programming to try...might give it a whirl on Sunday.
