Default Track ball cleaned and still not working

Please Login to Remove!

So all of a sudden yesterday i could not scroll threw my applications anymore on my blackberry curve. So i searched on this website to try and clean the track ball, i have cleaned the trackball and actually put it in my friends phone and it worked, vise versa i put his trackball in my phone and it didnt work, so the problem is not with the trackball. Does anyone know what the problem could be??? and how much would this cost to fix if i sent it back to blackberry or rogers...seeing that im not covered by the one year insurance any longer.

Not sure if this would help but I would reload the os

and for Rogers and fixing it
Rogers does not do repairs only replacements - if under a year

Have you cleaned the area on your device that's under the trackball? There's that orange piece of tape. Instructions for cleaning are on the sticky posted at the beginnign of this thread.
