Hi,

I have a Blackberry 8110 Pearl on Vodafone UK BIS and updated the Facebook Application yesterday. It didn't work as it couldn't connect to the server so I uninstalled it today and downloaded a fresh copy. Once installed again it didn't work and said 'could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support.' I think this is a Vodafone issue but anyway since then my Address Book seems to have been completely deleted. It is empty and if I check the options it shows 0 listings.

Does anyone know if it might be possible to recover the address book? I do not synch my BB to anything so don't have a backup anywhere.

Do you think this has been caused in some way by the Facebook App?

I tried a hard reset by the way and no joy.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I noticed a lot of my emails are deleted too which happens when my memory is low. It looks like maybe the new Facebook App took up too much memory and has deleted my Address Book. I've tried uninstalling the Facebook App and the memory seems at a sensible level but the address book is still gone. Is it gone forever?
