Default help with contact phone numbers

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone,
I just got my first Blackberry, a Pearl 8130.
I have had regular cell phones for more then 10 years and am a little overwhelmed by some of the features of this phone.
I want to know how to create my contact list phone numbers and how I go about opening it up to call out with the least amount of effort.
Appreciate any help.

Find the address book icon, click it, and go from there. I advise entering area code + number for all contacts, and not just the number.

If you use Outlook, install desktop manager (search and sync with your blackberry.

Open the phone (call button), open menu, select options > smart dialing, and set smart dialing options.

From there, experiment. Try voice dialing.

You can open the phone (call button) and just start typing a contact.

Assign contacts you call often to speed dial keys. If you don't know how to do this, use the help app on the device.

Experiment and see what method works best for you.
