Default Need help entering PIN for contacts

Please Login to Remove!

I have the Pearl 8110 and I am having the worst time entering my friends PINs. How do I enter an F in a PIN?? I have done it before but I forgot how. Please help!

On qwerty it would be shift 6. Do whatever achieves same result on your suretype keyboard.

This is going to sound silly.......but I dont know where the shift key is. I tried the ALT key but that just changes from ABCs to 123s. Does anyone know where the shift key is on a Pearl 8110?

Pressing & holding the ALT key doesn't do anything different than just pressing the ALT key. It just changes it from 123s to ABCs. Any other suggestions?

The D and F and 4 are on the same key, right? What happens if you press and hold that key when you are in the PIN field in the address book edit screen?

The D and F and 4 key are on the same key. When I am in the PIN field in the address book edit screen and press and hold ALT and that button, it just enters a D. If I just press the button without ALT it enters a 4. I need to enter an F.

I think I was wrong about using the alt key. What happens if you press and hold just the D/F/4 key by itself?

(I dug an old 8100 out of a drawer but the battery is deader than a door nail. I can't test and see for myself.)

Pressing and holding the D/F/4 key just enters a 4. I even tried pressing the ALT key to switch to ABCs and then holding the D/F/4 key but it just entered a D.

Ok. When you hold the alt key and press the D/F/4 key and get the D, keep holding the alt key and press the D/F/4 key again. Doesn't it then switch from a D to an F?
