I picked up a blackberry from a Third Party store in Phoenix, AZ a few days ago. Initially it would not receive or send pictures or browse the internet. The problem was eventually fixed by replacing the internals of the blackberry with a Verizon blackberry. (The original was Alltel.)
^I'm telling you this because I don't know if it has anything to do with my current problem. *Shrug*
Anyway.

I fly back to Colorado and I am greeted with no reception (0 bars) where ever I go, no exceptions. No calls -or anything for that matter- can get in or out. I've run a few diagnostics and every time an error message pops up that says "APN list is empty!"
I'm assuming it's because I bought and configured it initially in AZ, but I don't really know.

Anyone else experience this problem or know how to fix it? I can provide specs but I need to know what to look for... I'm new to Blackberries. D:

I don't know if this is the answer to your problem, but I was trying to get Audible to work on my BB, which also requires APN data. Here's what the Verizon tech. told me.

The Username for the APN is <10 digit phone #>@vzw3g.com
The Password for the APN is vzw

im having this same problem except i got the phone wet and when i try to enter the apn name and password with the service turned on it wont save it remains empty after i click save. it only saves with the service off..
