i've a blackberry pearl 8100. with Software version 4.2.1.103 and platform 2.3.0.82

It supports only 4 gb memory card although i bought a 8gb card :( . Its not an official phone, was gifted to me by someone. I don't use Emails not even GPRS ...

I thought of updating it to the latest software but it says that my service provider doesn't support v4.5 ...

is there any solution to the problem .... I don't have blackberry connection just T-mobile Handset

An OS upgrade isn't going to do much for you if you don't use anything but the phone.

Any carrier's OS will work as long as it is for your specific device, i.e you can load an 8100 OS but not one for the 8110 or 81,2 or 8130.

See the sticky at the top of the 8100 section for the latest OS and instructions. But again, I can't see spending the time if you only use it for a phone. But if you do go to 4.5, you can use the 8 GB card.

And please do not double post. Once is generally enough.

i wanna downgrade to 4.2 but i can't find OS 4.2

1- is any archive of Previous Versions ?
2- if i wipe my BB to down/upgrade, will i need my BB Unlock Code ?
