Default Rerouting the browser when Server is down?

Please Login to Remove!

My blackberry is configured to run with a Blackberry Exchange Server. For various reasons, that Server has been taken down and I can no longer get my mail via Blackberry.

That is fine with me for now, I can still use the phone and my apps, and I will set it up with a new server soon.

However, in the meantime, it appears that my Browser will no longer work. My guess is that it is somehow trying to contact the server and gets no reply. I know that I can still access the Web though, as my Gmail and NY Times apps work fine.

I am wondering if it is possible to reconfigure my phone so that the browser can function even though I currently am not using a BES. Is there a way to "unpair" my phone from the (now non-existant) sever?

Thanks for any advice.
