Default Pearl 8110 Device Software. How to wipe and install

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone here who knows how to deal with the red blinking light on a BlackBerry?
I've got a Pearl 8110, had it for two days, so I'm brand new to it, and during a software update it died on me. I can't seem to wipe it as I get a message saying that the Blackberry Desktop does not have BlackBerry device software for the connected. So I can't get no further. Where do I find this software? I have a unlocked BlackBerry but I believe it was T-Mobile before it was unlocked (I bought it unlocked but it said T-Mobile when it powered up the first time), however my carrier is AT&T and I do not have a T-Mobile number, therefore I cannot download anything from the T-Mobile website. Do I need software downloads from T-Mobile in order to wipe my device as nothing else seems to work?

I've tried anything and basically I'm about to give up on the whole BlackBerry thing. So I'd be grateful for any help here as I do really want this to work.

In advance. Thanks

Firstly, to get the device software, go to and look in the 'stickies' section of the forum. There should be a post saying Attention: Latest OS - Pearl 8110. View it and follow the instructions.
To wipe your device, look at the navigation bar at the top of this page and click search. Search for JL-Cmdr and you'll see a thread for it. View that and it'll tell you how to wipe your device.
