i was trying to transfer between my old 8100 and my 8110 using the transfer wizard in desktop manager
for some reason the process stalled in the middle - effectively wiping my 8110 - when I boot I get
app error 523
reset

I think I wiped my unit

what is the next step - downloading device software and following instructions as if I were just upgrading to new firmware -
or is there a unique method for installing OS after a 523 error

Sorry aboit replying to my own thread
I tried a fresh install of handheld os
Again I get stuck in the middle of installation
I get error message
Application loader was unable to connect with your device
Please reconnect your device enter the password if required and click retry

What is my next move ? Jl commander ?

maish I am getting this same App Error 523 when I click on the factory installed Profile icon to change my ring settings. Seems allot of people getting this same App Error code for several different reasons. Hopefully someone will have some help on what to do about this App Error.

Downloaded Jl Commander but would prefer not to wipe the phone if at all possible.
