I have a 8100 Pearl OS Ver 4.5.0.102, Desktop manager 4.6.0.19.
I've been trying to get my 2GB Micro SD card to work in this thing. I've tested it on my notebook, it can be read. I've formatted it on my notebook FAT32 no issues. But when I go insert it into the Pearl (why it is in behind the battery is a frackin mystery) and boot the phone back up, it says: "Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted." Well it was formatted.
I looked around and found that the BB can format the card, but when I looked where they stated (Menu>Options>Advanced Options>Media Card>Menu>Format) I was blocked. Couldn't find Media Card under Advanced Options.
I'm very frustrated with this thing as I would like to get the Mass Storage support working too, but can't if there is no card in.
Yeah, under Options>Media Card. This is what I see:
Media Card Support: On
Encryption Mode: None
Mass Storage Mode Support: On Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: Prompt_____________________
Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted.
Look (I think) at options > security options > general security options and scroll down to the services field. If that isn't the right path, look around until you find the screen. What is entered in the services field?
If you see something like ***noservices*** then you don't have an IT policy. I had Windows Live Search make an entry there, and I recall reading of other cases, so something other than ***no services*** doesn't automatically mean there is a BES IT policy on the device.
I'm out of ideas. Only other thing I can think of is hardware issue with the device. Did it ever work right for you? Or did you just get it and had this issue right off?
Never worked. I'm thinking it is HW too. Sometimes when I insert it, it says that there is not card in there at all. :( Ugh! What a pain. Need to go to get it repaired right after buying it. >:( At least I have 2 years warranty.
