I have the 8110 and am having the same problem I've read all over the internet. At times my phone will work just fine. But right now (and for the past day or so) it is not working correctly. Anytime I try and accept or make a call all I hear in the background is a clicking noise, and about 1 out 5 words the caller is saying. I have done hard/soft reset and none of that works. Has this issue been solved yet because all the threads i've read on this problem were from 2 years ago. Thanks

The 8110 is a bit old, which is why the threads are all two years old.

Have you tried backing up your data and loading the latest version of the handheld operating system?

yes I did that and it worked for a day or so, but went back to the same problem. The phone will probably work fine later on today but give it another 2 days and it will go back to not working again.

oh and the reason I like the pearl 8110 is because of the size. I hate large phones and like when you can't even tell there's a phone in your pocket
