So I have had my Pearl 8110 for a couple of weeks now and I love it but have one question: what's the fastest way to the media player? Is there a shortcut that takes you from the home screen straight to the media (music) player?

No there isn't. When you start the media player, you'll see the various option for music, pictures, etc.

The only workaround I can think of is if you keep the music player "running" in the background. That way from the desktop you could press the BB/menu key and select "now playing." But this might affect battery or possibly contribute to a memory leak.
