8100, Abra Cadabra: Address book disappearing act
 

Selecting address book icon on my 8100

´no addresses´

then selecting options shows number of entries 77 (they are still their but where?)

I can not call from address book, because the entire list has vanished

however,

When i receive a call from someone already in my contact list, voila, their contact is displayed on screen.

I would like to know how to retrieve and restore the address book to it´s proper functionality.

Check your filter options in the messages app. Make sure nothing is checked or whatever--i.e. make sure no filter is enabled.

Right, not sure how this happened, but the ´business´ filter was selected, deselected and ´voila´ my address book has reappeared!
