Bb Pearl 8100
 

Hey~!
I have a problem with BB Pearl. It has white screen and turning hourglass. IN ADDITION it turns ON and OFF every 10 seconds.
I've tried to update to newer OS (phone turns off, while wiping old OS), when it comes to JVM connection, the phone comes back to white screen with an hourglass and turns ON and OFF again.
I tried to fix it with JL_cmd, but since the phone goes on and off, the program does not have enough time to wipe the phone clean.

Please help!

Moved to the 8100 section.

Did you drop it or get it wet?

Is the battery charged?

No. It just happened during night.

What was the last thing you did with it?

Might have succumbed to old age.

Nothing. I put it on the night table. When the screen became white, I woke up and plugged it to charge.
I bought it in august 2009

Did you load any new apps or themes?

Have you tried a battery pull?

Remove the SD card and see if that makes a difference.

Take out the SIM and put it back in.

No, no new apps. 3 weeks before it happened, downloaded a theme.
Already tried with battery and SIM and SD, did not help

Did the battery run down - below 20%?

Have you tried a new battery?

the battery was at about 25%
I went to FIDO store, they said that they don't have any spare batteries to check or anything. So, no...

You could always order an OEM one. Not sure what they cost. Check eBay.
