Default 8100 - edge tethering & editing miniSD card docs

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know whether you can tether the 8100 to your notebook computer using usb or bluetooth and get Edge connectivity?

It seems that the multimedia capabilities RIM is adding to the 8100 will require a number of OS improvements. Given that the BB software platform has never (to my knowledge) encompassed editing of documents which are located on removable memory, does anyone know of any plans or timeframe regarding adding that functionality? I draft a lot of contracts, and hope to load Word documents which I'll be working on to the mini-SD card.

TIA for any insights.
