Default Did RIM crank up the volume on the 8100?

My only complaint with my current 7100 is that itís impossible to use when there is any type of background noise (for example food court at a mall). Is the 8100 going to be louder? Any feedback would be great from someone who has used oneÖ.

Thanks!

well, the 7130c fixed that pretty much so I am guessing the 8100 should at least be as good as the 7130c, if not better...

8700g and 8100 are louder than 7100t. Have no worries.

My wife - who is hard of hearing - went from a 7290 to a 8700. I cannot pry the 8700 out of her hands now. She can hear perfectly. She says that next to our Tivo, this is the best thing I've given her.
