Wirelessly posted (Thumpers 8700c: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

SHWERTY ---
What about combining some of the features of both in a future device? What I like about shuretype is it's ability to predict what you're typing so that you don't have to actually complete most words. What if we had that available for QWERTY as well? Now THAT would be cool!!

Why did my thread get 4 stars? What does that mean, and who did it? And why is there a BB in red with crazy arrow things on the side of the thread? Sorry if this is the dumbest question ever, but just curious.

trying to answer my own questions. Just realized the stars, so nevermind on that one. AND, for some reason, the flashing arrow things are gone and the BB is just red now. Guessing it has to do with the number of replies.

Unintentional bump here.

Just read the article on BlackBerry Cool » ThoughtPiece: How Successful Will The Pearl Be?
discussing the possible success of the Pearl and it made mention of me AND BoyGenius in the same freaking article, about this thread! It's a decent article worth reading.

Yes, I still think both our points are valid, at the end of the day they are trying to move as many units as possible I just dont see that happening with no consumer marketing and brand reinforcement...well see how it turns out

Hell, if it weren't for you, I would have not bought a 7105t to test the suretype, would not have fallen in love with it, and would not be bugging my tmob rep daily to get one early. So, thanks BG...and...I totally agree with your last point. They need to market this - although, I sort of like having a unique phone, unlike the razr.

plain and simple.

I have to agree. I am a primary phone user and ive been waiting for a small phone that acts like a PDA for the longest time and not a PDA that can act like a phone

I fall into shaun76's category as well. Suretype? Bring it on!
