Default 8100 keypad lock

Please Login to Remove!

so usually with bb when keypad is lock you scroll the wheel a menu pops up .... unlock, emergency call, cancel .... the same thing happens with the 8100 EXCEPT when you push up and click unlocked it gives you some ol "phone" keypad lock symbol .... telling you to push * --> talk .... what is up with that .... i feel like they should have given us the demo and let us tell them what is needed ... lol .... like dimming the track ball or the whole case situation or the not ringing in your pocket .... anyhow has anyone found the lock problem also? or is it just annoying my OCD?

I think you need to go under setup and security and enable a password. I know my BES pushes an IT policy which enforces it.

When I took my phone home from the store I experience what you posted, however as soon as my IT policy was pushed I get the menu that you want.

Again I think you enable password to get this menu.
