Sorry. It popped into my head because of the bandelier imagery.

Oh, one last thing:

The trackball is REALLY useful and nice to use. A big improvement over the wheel, IMHO.

Its a business tool. Designed to handle quick email and phone communication.
For Mp3s - get an IPOD. After all you can't beat Apple in UI design.

But if RIM is trying to pick up the teen crowd, then Perl is perfect start for that.

Why can't BB's be multimedia devices? If you don't need multimedia then just don't use it. Same goes with the camera. "Its a business tool" in YOUR opinion. Obviously RIM does not think BB's should be purely a business tool or they would not have come out with the PEARL.

You are the guy that I make fun of who walks around with two giant blackberrys on his hip and a calculator watch that can change channels.

True and also, once again, no one is forcing anyone to buy the Pearl. There are still other BBs out there. RDC is making it sound as if RIM is completely dropping the business sector and focusing on multimedia phones.

This topic is here to prove it .

Sure, RIM added an mp3 capabilities to the BB, but it did it to just say - hey, its there. Mp3 on BB! Wow!

BTW, If you are professional, you wont depend on a 1.3Megapixel camera.
Heh, as a professional, you wont even consider using to anything that small, MP wise.

Very few camera phones actually take decent pics. And as far as I know, Nokia is the leader there, mainly of the optics they use. But thats only if you are into that kind of thing...taking pictures for blog
You're one step away from saying "those kids today" - I LOVE all-in-one devices - sure I have a better camera and mp3 player; but I also can't stand carrying around multiple devices - yes, you sacrifice quality in individual aspects but those features are a godsend & what I've been waiting for from blackberry. I own a multimedia company and these are essential features for me. Forward thinkers know all-in-one devices are the future. Evolve or sit back on the sidelines complaining while the rest of us evolve.
