Default 2 Newbie questions..Please Help! - 09-22-2006, 09:32 PM

I just picked up the Pearl from my T-Mobile store. It is my first Blackberry Device.
I had everything up and running pretty quickly. I just have 2 Problems....

1. I can successfully send and receive MMS' to other T-Mo. users.
However many friends and family of mine are on Cingular and I cannot seem to send or receive MMS' to them.

2. I tried E-Mailing some new pictures to myself for my Theme/Desktop.
However when I opened the e-mails on my Pearl I could not figure out how to get the attachments.
Am I missing something?

I LOVE this device!! Unfortunately Both of these issues ae "Deal Breakers' for me...

Please Help!

Thanks!

DC

Cingular has blocked MMS messages, atleast on the 8700c.

while in the email hit the menu key and choose open attachment then scroll to full content and click to download. I usually highlight the [attachment] line but I'm not sure you absolutely have to do that. cust service should be able to get you thru the mms issue

hope this helps. welcome to BB's. the 8100 is my second one, I am hooked.

Are you with T-Mobile? MMS does not work with Cingular on the 8100 or the 8700... I'm sure it will (on the 8100) when Cingular comes out with it whenever they do...

Repligo is a good third party software for opening any kind of attachment...

Cerience Corporation : RepliGo Professional for BlackBerry

it costs money though, but is awesome....

be happy

I was able to send a pic from my 8100 to my brother's 7130c, it took about 5 min for him to receive it, after that I tried sending another one and it was never delivered.
