somone correct me if Im wrong...all you do is use your bb desktop manager software and your provided usb cable. You might not even need your bb desktop manager software, just your usb cable and use your 8100 as a mass storage device.

I just tried it with the desktop software and it seemed like it would have worked if I had enough space. It gave me an error saying not enough device memory or something...let me mess with it for a couple minutes and follow up on my progress.

ha! one other thing I just tryed is take a mp3 and just trim it down to 2-mb. I have a gig and 2 gig mem cards. As you might already know the 1 works but the 2 doesnt work...yet. I'm loving the 1 gig anyway. I have like 4-5 episiodes of Futurama (or any other tv show about 22 min in length) on there plus a bunch of music.. I just flip it out with 5 new ones when Im done watching those 5.

Online at Fry's for 29.95 + shipping. I saw a post earlier that said CompUSA had one for the same.

Actually before I got my SD card I was able to put songs on the Pearl. After I inserted the micro sd card it asked me whether in future I want to use the micro sd card as my storage unit. There was even a demo song on my Pearl (which ofcourse came without the SD card) so you should have been able to use the desktop manager to upload the song if you weren't because of space issues you might like to check the applications/games installed maybe there is a lot of stuff and it's eating up the device's memory
