Unhappy 2 problems: bluetooth file sending & maps

Please Login to Remove!

Tried to send contacts or pics from Ericsson P910 over to 8100, but couldn't. The bluetooth sees each other. Tried to do the same with my other PDA, still wasn't able to send it to my 8100.
My BB 8100 bluetooth is ENABLED, turned ON, DISCOVERABLED... and still can send any files to.

Also the 8100 comes with the MAPS program. There are no maps. Am i suppose to download the maps thru my phone thru the phone's internet service?

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem with my friend's SE P910. I can send him media (pictures, music, etc.) via Bluetooth but he can't send to me. I thought it was a problem between just our phones but then I tried to send pictures from my laptop via Bluetooth and I can't seem to get it to work. On the other hand, I can send pictures from my BB to my laptop. Weird.

Any solutions?

make sure you enable "recieve using bluetooth" option before anyone sends you anything.

You must have a seperate GPS reciever not just your blackberry to use the GPS feature! That is well documented in the small booklet and on many threads on this forum. Your BB will conect via bluetooth to the outside GPS source and display the maps on your BB's screen. hope that clears up your issue

Called up T-Mobile's blackberry tech support group. And they said you can only pair the BB's bluetooth with earpiece, GPS recievers, etc.... but cannot transfer file's from other operating system to BBs. Now, that sounds ODD! I meant i was only transfering JPEGS thru bluetooth... that should be universal!
