My previous phone let me choose from a list of predefined text messages to send to someone. For example, "I'm running late. Be there in 20 min." You would just pick the person from your address book then pick one of these short messages and hit send.

Is there something like this on the Blackberry? (Pearl)

I guess it's like auto-text. I just wonder if I am missing something in all the zillions of features.

Go to Options > AutoText and create your own custom autotext entry. Basically its a simple macro.
