Post BB 7130e (Sprint) to BB 8100 (T-Mo)

Ok So its been a few weeks and i want to give a run down on my thoughts on both devices. Pretext: the 7130e was my first BB device. (its just my thoughts)

1. Overall Quality
7130 vs 8100 I like the body on the 8100 a little better ( kinda slippery when using it alot. The 7130e had this hollow empty feeling to it.

2. Voice Quality
The 8100 doesnt have that echo that i seem to have gotten when using the speakerphone on the 7130e. BUt people seem to hear me better on the 7130 vs 8100.. Wonder why?

3. Buttons
I like the raised form factor of the 7130e. Yes the buttons are smaller on the 8100 but overall the 7130 you knew what you were pressing and when.

4. Data
Sprint vs. T-mobile. Well the plan seemed better with sprint. I was really used to vision, and it was a breeze to set up. New to the EDGE so im getting used to it, and it did seem faster on the EVDO side of the house.

5. Phone functions
Yes i get that wierd delay when calling someone on T-Mobile. but i dont know if its the 8100 or T-Mo'

6. AutoDim vs Self Dim
I liked the self dim feature on the 7130e. The autodim is nice but it freaked me out a couple of times. And i dont know what it does for battery life.

7. Battery Life
Since i keep my device plugged in all the time when i am at work or on the go, The Battery life is better on the pearl. I didnt get that (oops i just turned your wireless off cause youre low" message... I just got the Battery Low

8. Droppage
Yes we all drop our phones. I dropped the 7130 a few times and because of the hollow frame it survived. My first drop of the 8100.. whew... there were four pieces.. the door, the sim card, the battery and the phone.. yeah it was a cardiac moment.

9. Portability
Even though the 7130e was smaller in form factor than the prior BB's it fit nicelyin my backpack or shirt pocket. But not in those jeans. The 8100 although smaller, i keep it cased up cause i feel like any minute it will snap in half. So we will see

10. Overall...
I like them both, the 7130e on sprint was great fro data and messaging (and for some reason i also got Hotmail and Yahoo), but the 8100 is also great on T-Mobile for portability, and the T-Mobile site seems alot better (even though i see Sprint is making some changes)...

So just my thoughts... any one else did a service change and have any input?

Thanks for the comparison, I was debating between sprint and t-mobile... So, it sounds like the two are comparable. I'm mainly interested for email and IM and using as a tethered modem. I think I will go w/ t-mobile.
