Default ...joining the circus...

Please Login to Remove!

I'm joining the BlackBerry 8100 circus tomorrow. Mine was delivered on Saturday afternoon (courtesy of my good buddy, Boy Genius). I've been on-call this past week/weekend and, to my luck, was extended until tomorrow morning, so I've not switched over just yet (will do so in the morning). So far I've upgraded the OS to an unreleased version and unlocked the stock themes.

Anyhow, just wanted to stop in and say that I'll likely start focusing more of my attention to the 8100 and away from the 8700.

Wouldn't want to share that unreleased OS you have would you? That's such a tease. Thanks man! You can email me if you would like to share it! I look forward to your comments and knowledge about RIM's products.

Great to hear you'll be using the 8100. Looking forward to hearing what you think about it, and the OS you have on it.

I figured some would like that.. hehe. It will be released here shortly from a carrier, I promise. The version I have is the one that will likely be released as the launch OS for Cingular; I've heard that almost all of the carriers who had early launches will have updates within the next few weeks, in addition to Vodafone and Cingular having their device launches in the course of the next 1-2 months.

I took it to a director at work today and showed it to her. It was kind of funny to actually see someone who's strictly used to a 7290 and 8700g keep attempting to scroll or escape on the right side of the handheld. I found myself doing the same thing and taking a lot of pictures of the ground. haha. This migration could be tougher than what I expected...

It took me a couple of days...you should have it mastered in no time. Now when I hold an older Berry, my thumb wanders to under the display looking for a trackball. guess I have offically been assimilated.

Jibi-san,
To clarify - you need a "micro" SD card not a "mini"...
