Default Installing new apps -- Grrrrrr.....

Please Login to Remove!

Herexxx8217;s what happens when I try to install a new app to my Pearlxxx8230;
After clicking the Application Loader I get the window with ONLY the devicexxx8217;s applications shown. In a tiny window located in the lower left corner I see this box checked xxx8220;Include Applications that are installed on the connected device only.xxx8221; Therexxx8217;s no way to uncheck that box. Therefore (I assume) it prevents me for seeing what apps I want to upload to the device that sit on my PC. I simply canxxx8217;t see the apps I am trying to load to my Pearlxxx8230;
What to do? How do I load new apps via the PC to my Pearl? What am I missing here? (Obviously I am using the Blackberry Desktop program.)

At the top right, click on Add and go to where the alx file for the application is.

Thanks!
But now I am having trouble #2: I can see the app with the proper suffix, but when I add it to the list to be uploaded to my BB I get a message saying that I have no appropriate BB apps to load... Ha? It is the right app with the right suffix!

make sure you are trying to add the .ALX file only. That type of file is the only type you can load througn the desktop manager. If your real techy and want to load .COD files there is a few threads on doing that.

Thanks!
Yes, I have been trying to add only the .alx file but no luck. I finally asked Handango.com to sent me the link to download the app via "air" which worked... I am not sure why I am having this problem. I first thought my Pearl was "locked" somehow?...
(BTW, how do you delete a 3rd-party app from the Pearl?)
