Hello Everyone,
Since there are no Holsters available for the new 8100/PEARL, I invented my own. I went shopping all day looking for a nice case that fits and I found the perfect match. The only problem is that it does not have a built in magnet to lock and save my battery upon holstering. I modified the case by cutting a small round hole into that back and integrated a magnet. Check the attached pictures to see what it looks like. I'll probably change the tape to a dark color for nicer esthetics but other than that it works great and I probably won't have to buy the BB holster!

Yes it does count as a holster and it is very nice. I used to have a similar one for my BB 7290 but didn't like it cause if made the BB even larger than it already was + you always have to flip it opened. I'm not sure if the magnet works though because it is located and the back bottom of the BB.

You're right, after purchasing it I thought about it being bulky and not easily fitting into my pocket. -sighs-

I'll probably end up selling it and looking for a silicone case.

Nice MOD for us that have had are pearls for a while we have MOD'd the OEM holster from T-mobile just cut out the magnets and cover the slices with black electric tape wich hides all most perfect and then make small slits in the front and back bottom and put the magnets back in the slits on the bottom tape it back up and your good to go. I also cut the top flap off of my to make it like the holsters you get with the 7100 series BB's

You know what phungy.....I ordered that same one and they sent me another type. The type that opens from the side. The same concept as yours, but only horizontally instead of vertically. I love it though, but I was questioning myself until I saw your post. I won't pitch a fit even though they couldda notified me about being out of stock.

I believe they should have notified you if they really cared about their customers (that is what they claim on their website). Anyways, I returned the case today. I want my money back cause I don't really need it, plus they mis-packaged another item and I wasn't a happy camper. ExtremePDA won't be receiving business with me in the future...
