Hey gang,

I have been having issues with my SMS log and phone log for the last couple of days. I have been to 3 T-mobile stores and "nobody knows" (imagine that...) what the problem can be. I did a search in this forum for an answer and didn't find one for my situation.

My phone logs and SMS messages only appear in the list/folder for a few minutes then erase themselves. Usually this is just a memory issue, but i have over 27million bytes of 'File Free' space on my device. Also, it is just not older messages and calls that are earsed... it is the entire history. I have also check the settings for saving call logs and it is set for 30 days.

Any clue???

Wow, I haven't encountered this granted I've only had the 8100 for 2.5 days but have you tried "Options" or reseting the 8100 by pulling out the battery?

I did remove the battery. The it has not helped the problem

Me too. That's weird. I have T-Mobile also. Perhaps a provider problem?

i have cingular and having same issue. i think its doing it more than once a day to cause i got a phone call this morning while i was asleep, checked the number and decided to call back when i woke up, when i did i had no history at all...log was empty

TMo Pearl running Cingy .71 here and I've never seen (nor heard of) log or msg deletions unless free file memory got really low.

I have the same problem. My first pearl had no problems... then I exchanged under warranty and my new one has squeeky buttons and randomly erases text messages and call log. No rhyme or reason just every once in a while. Also, I noticed that right after this happens.. I cannot receive text messages until I turn the phone off and take the battery out to reset the phone.. Took it in to t-mobile and they said that I need to update my system... However, I already have the latest version that they offer on their website. Why do they have to be so stupid? Or maybe he just wanted an out... Anyway after I reset the phone I seem to be good for a couple days... This is extremely annoying though when it happens...

How much do you have loaded on your Pearl? Pics, mp3s, vids, 3rd party apps, etc.?

hello i was just wondering if anybody resolve the problem of the call log being erase............on my blackberry is cool but on my girlfriends blackberry it started doing it yesterday............

i've got the same issue now... and its getting worse. I'll get messages now and wont even be able to view them cuz ill go into my sms folder and they'll all be missing.
