Default MMS Issue

Please Login to Remove!

guy's i seem to be having an issue with recieving mms messages. i have all the service books and can send them without a problem, it just when someone sends me one i get a messagewith the little play button on but when i open it the message says "cou;d not retrieve message content,try again later"

i press the pearl and take the option of retrieve now and after a few minutes it stops trying and still no picture.

I'm on Vodafone UK

I have exactly the same problem and no-one seems to be able to fix it at all - a real nuisance.

called tmobile blackberry support twice yesterday and it seems to be an issue they are aware of for the past 2 weeks or so. they saild the issue is oly isolated to the bb pearl. the rep told me they do not have an eta and that the engineers are working on it. the issue is the messages come thru blank or don't come thru at all.

mine go to my tmobile photo album online. i wish i could get them when i open the message. hope they fix it soon

Yours are probably getting redirected to your t-mobile online album because you haven't sent one from the device. On T-mobile, you have to send an MMS from your phone to let the system know your phone is MMS capable. From then on the messages will be delivered to your phone instead of your online album.

The sad thing is, I'm having the same problem with ATT... I can't send nor receive MMS, and my SMS haven't been going through. Guess that ATT is going to get an earful today.

Remember to call T-Mobile and have them credit your account if you don't have some kind of unlimited MMS plan. They charge you for the MMS whether it comes through or not.

My friends all send MMS and I probably get 4 a day. Well I'm only able to view 1 in about 20 yet I get charged for receiving all 20. Hommie don't play that....

Resolved similar prob on Vodafone UK by going to Options / MMS and setting:

MM reception: Home Only
Auto Retrieval: Always

Notifications:
Allow Delivery Confirmation - checked
Allow Read Confirmation - checked
Confirm Delivery - checked
Confirm Read - unchecked
Message Filtering - both boxes unchecked

Also worth checking with your carrier that MMS is provisioned on your account, particularly if you've recently added a BB data plan.
