Default browser? what browser??

I have a vodafone 8100 and hear people on this board talking about browsers. I'm pretty sure I don't have one though! Is it something you need to download. While I'm on the subject, how would I download an app to the phone using a Mac?

Sorry to be stupid about these things but I'm new here :-/

Thank You

Are you paying for the BlackBerry service through Vodafone? If not, you will not be able to use your 8100 for anything other than voice and SMS.

The only way to do anything on a Mac, assuming you have an Intel processor, is to have Parallels, MS VPC, or Windows (via Bootcamp) installed.

Also, although you are new, a search would have turned up both of the answers above in other threads.

Yes I'm using Vodafone. The way things are talked about here I expected to see a browser app on the phone. Is this not the case?

We know you're on Vodafone but did you purchase a Blackberry Data Plan. You must have a data plan, not just a voice plan, to use a browser, access the internet, or receive email. If you don't have a data plan, you won't have any browsers.

You may need to talk to a Vodafone rep and have them push your service books to your phone. If you are provisioned for data access, this will enable the browser on your phone.
