Not sure why anyone would say the Pearl would not work as a modem with Pocket PC.
Windows Mobile is simply a scaled down version of Windows XP on the desktop.
Since a Pearl can be tethered as a modem for notebooks and desktops running XP, and a Dell Axim with Pocket PC or Windows Mobile can connect with the desktop or notebooks net connection, no reason why the Pearl can't do it.
Can you post the instructions [strings and commands] as I have an Axim X50v collecting dust, but I might want to set it up as a GPS device, using the Pearl as the connection. Somewhat of a contraption feel to it, but would be cool to try out considering the Pearl's limitations.
Also, how did you connect the Pearl to the Dell? Seems you say BlueTooth. That would seem a feat as I am not aware of how to do that on the Dell Axim. Details, I need details.

Anyway I thought I should give a shot, but Initially I got lots of unknown errors blah blah. The tricky part was the 'extra string' field, and IT WORKS!
Now I can take my Axim X51v to anywhere and get Internet connection while my wife's driving.
If any of you needs step-by-step instructions, let me know. I'll do what I can do.
