Exclamation Incoming call problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Whenever I receive an incoming calls my Blackberry isn't recognising the number - even though I have the number programmed in my phone.

For example 07712345678 is programmed in my phone as +44 7712345678 (using the british prefix) and when someone calls, the number 07712345678 comes on my phone but with no id. However when the person sends a text message the id of the person is shown in my message list.

Crazy or what? What is going on?

Is your phone locked when this happens?

it happens wheteher its locked or not. I could obviously go through each contact and add an extra number (without british prefix) to each person, how time consuming would that be?? 400 contacts!!

Mine did the same. The answer is as follows: Go into phone, options, smart dialling. On first line it says country code, this I think by default is +1 for USA and therefore does not recognize local UK calls properly. Change the Country code to +44 and save. All should then be ok.
