Default can I receive files via bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

I think there was a thread on this but I couldnt find it. I know I can send files(pics mp3s, etc) to my friends, but for some reason, they cant send me anything. Even if I sent them a pic, they cant send that same pic back to me. Im running 02 upgrade tmo. Is there some sort of setting to fix this?

try going into the media section and selecting pics then hit the menu key. there's an option "receive using bluetooth" select that then tell your friend to send you something. That's what i have to do getting files from my computer.

I'll try this out later and see if i can transfer this way.

When i connect to a friends phone via bluetooth it asked me for a passkey. I had to call in to Rogers tech support and they said to use either "0000" or "1234". This key is set by blackberry apparently and it can't be changed.

I'll test it out next time i see my friend and hopefully this works.

That's exactly what I do and I have no problems receiving files. Works great
