Default confused about ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

sup I just got a blackberry 8100 and i dont even know how to use it yet..well im still messin with it..but anyways I cant have internet accsess on it for another 3 weeks..how do i get ringtones on it ? or is that the only way..

You can drag and drop your ringtone into your Microsd card that is if you have one.

ok my bad i got the program it came with the cd..now i want to transfer songs to my ringtone folder..says they too big ? do i need a mp3 program to make them smaller ? where can iget one

or is there a site for 8100 ringtones in small sizes

can I assume from your previous post that you don't have a memory card installed?

if not, this is the main reason you are getting messages about SIZES.

I can use any song as a ringtone but I have them all saved onto the 1 gig card.

you don't NEED a card that big, but you should get a memory card. and I didn't need to install any software to read the card. Just needed to check the setup:

Options/
Advanced Options/
Media Card/
support and Mass Storage Mode should be ON
and Storage Mode When Connected is YES

that means when you connect the USB cable from the computer to your BB it should just show up in a file manager. moving files from one to the other should be a piece O pie.

If you have the Desktop Software, you should use that for transfer rather than Mass Storage Mode, due to the fact that you cannot recieve a call while Mass Storage Mode is enabled.
