Default T-Mobile Leather Case VS. Seidio Swivel Holster

Please Login to Remove!

I originnaly purchased the T-Mobile leather holster ($19.99) for my BB Pearl. I did not really like the looks of it when I bought it, but it was the only option I knew of at the time. After I started using the case I had sticking problems with my track ball. I noticed when I would slide the phone into the case the pearl (ball) would catch on the top of the case. Not to mention I had to lock the phone everytime I would put it in the case or the pearl (ball) would get pressed and roll through all kinds of menu lists when it was slid in.

I found the link for Seidio on this forum and saw the Swivel Holster for Unskinned Pearl. I did not like the price of $29.95 (before tax and shipping) but I liked the look and that style case much better. I ordered the case on Friday 11/3 and the case arrived via Priority Mail on Wednesday 11/8. I really like this case. The phone will fit perfectly facing forwards or backwards. The added felt/rubber padding on the case keeps the phone from scratching. It deffinately puts the phone in sleep mode (from about 1" away). There are only two things I would change. The top "clip" that holds the phone in place is a little big and sticks out a little to much. I assume the purpose of it sticking out is to allow for one finger to lift it and the rest to pull the phone out. However the edge is a little sharp and can scratch the arm when walking. The other thing I would change is the position of the swivel clip. The clip attaches to the case not in the middle but fairly close bottom. It causes the holster to sit pretty high on the belt.

I would post pics but I am too new to the forum. All in all I like the seidio holster alot more than the leather pouch. I would deffinately recommend it to anyone who likes that style of holster.

Just my .02

I have the OEM holster, An aftermarket holster similiar to T-Mobile's, a Fortte holster and I recently purchased the smoke crystal case/holster combo from Seidio. I use the OEM holster at work and when I'm out and about I always use the crystal case/holster combo.

I started out with the SDA case from T-Mo. never really liked the horizontalness of it. but it fit well and made the BB sleep. after seeing all the reviews and pics the seidio holster grew on me so I got the skin/holster combo. the clip is a bit low but it isn't a deal breaker for me. I really like the way the skinned phone fits into the holster. something about the phone being vertical just works better for me. my ideal would be a leather slip case with no flap over the top and a belt clip like came with my 7100. just my .02

I have been struggling to find a case I like a lot since I bought the pearl. I am not a fan of any of the cases T-Mobile has, so when I saw the holster on sale from seidio I decided to try it out. I got the bundle with the jet black skin.

Well, I love the jet black skin, but I am not the biggest fan of the holster. Going to try it for a few days and see how I adapt. I like something I can quickly and easily put in/take out with one hand. I can take it out fine with one hand, but cant seem to get it in easily with one hand. I'll see if I get use to it, if not I found a backup I LOVE.

I was using the original pouch that came with the 7100 when it was released. The 8100 was loose in there, but it kept it out of the bottom of my pocket, which was my main concern. Now the with seidio jet black skin on, the 8100 fits perfectly in this case. More then likely I am going to be using this combination.

Stay away from the holster. That HUGH clip on the top becomes VERY irritating after a while!

My only problem with the Seidio holster is the clip being too low. I also have the same case as MrKyoo, and it is very good also.
