I thought I would start a thread to see who is using what OS on their BlackBerry pearls??


Mine is Rogers latest

v4.2.0.51 (Platform 2.2.032)

As yet I have no bugs using this one, it has solved the call lag problem and the problem with with caller id on voive & text.

But for some reason it still displays Vodafone @ power up & I still have original themes for Vodafone UK.

What have you got?

I'm a bit intimidated to upgrade. I'm afraid I might screw my blackberry up. Once I learn to use it more and understand the internals, I'll have more gonads to do it.

I felt the same way, then just took the plunge and did it. It is really straight forward, nothing at all tricky about it. The bug where touching the pearl stops the ringing was the deciding factor.

I'm using .64 from O2.

It will not screw your blackberry up. The OS are written by RIM for blackberry's. So go ahead and play around with different OS for 8100.

I'm using the O2. So far it fixed the incoming call lag. I still have the same themes and startup from t-mobile.
