Im posting this here because I only have 8100 device to test with - but when i launch the Desktop Manager v4.2 software it crashes with a runtime error - ive tried several different PC's / Laptops but to no avail.

Does this happen when you are trying to sync with Outlook?

I got the same message when trying to configure one of our employees 7130c. I called RIM and they walked me through some advanced logging stuff and found it was a bad calendar entry that was causing the issue. Here are some links.
