Default Going back to 8700

1st of all this is NOT a bashing of the 8100 as I love this little thing!

I am going back to the 8700 for several reasons... Full size qwerty, bigger screen (I am old and half blind), can't get adjusted to the smaller keyboard. I have big hands and fingers...

I really like the 8100 and wish it worked out for me! It is an awesome device! Sleek looking, functional and better phone quality than my 8700..

I love the trackball and am going to miss it until the 8800 come out! I also love the voice dialing on the 8100 and am going to miss that as well...

I dont really need a camera so that's not really an issue for me either way.

So back to the 8700 I go and eagerly await the 8800

I am guessing T-mo won't get it till 2Q of 2007. Cingular will get it 1st (Jan or feb 07 is my guess)

So since T-mo got the 8100 1st, us t-mo'ers will have to wait 90 days after it's released on Cingular...

I heard that the camera version of the 8800 (a.k.a the crimson) would drop in late april and be released first via tmo, but that the cameraless version (a.k.a indigo) would have a jan/feb. release date and be released first under cingular.
wish they'd just put out some hardcore facts already!

Perfectly valid reasons. I wear glasses and have dealt with fine print all my career. With the 8100 I have to really concentrate on where the keys are.

I don't like that idea that the 8800 (Crimson) with camera isn't going to look like the 8800 (Indigo) or the 8100.

I'm thinking of picking up an 8700 to compare and contrast with my 8100 until the Crimson is available. Real world, hands-on usage.
