Yes, I am sure that BB Hub said that. Though the thread you point to brings up a valid argument.

I believe the article on BB Hub states he believes it may come out on the 17th I don't think Cingular has announced an official release date.

Call me a moron, but this is a direct quote from bb hub: "The Cingular BlackBerry Pearl will officially be available on the Cingular website and in Cingular stores on Friday, November 17."

Like most articles of this nature...COMPLETE speculation. Guess we'll find out tomorrow, if they "announce it"...

On a serious note though we'll see what happens. Last time I was in the US (roughly 2 weeks back) and stopped by a few Cingular stores to see what they were offering compared to devices in Canada and when I asked about the Pearl I was told it wouldn't be released until the first week of December.
Maybe the sales rep said that because of the whole T-Mobile exclusivity issue but we'll see what happens...

I spoke to a friend that works with Cingular as well as just a normal sales rep at a Cingular store and both said there is no exact release date yet (they said they only get like 3 days notice) but that it WOULD be coming out mid to late November for SURE. They promised me that much. They said they have info on it etc., and know that it is coming THIS MONTH but just never know exactly what day their stores will receive them. Just the info I got.....

If T-mobile have a exclusive on the 8100 until 12-1-2006 than it will be impossible for Cingular to have it any sooner.

One thing I noticed starting today, a lot of websites are posting it to be available after 12/1/06, they even had the "scanned internal document" that was posted here.
